GENEALOGY RESOURCES AT THE Z. J. LOUSSAC LIBRARY
Most of the Anchorage Public Library's genealogy materials are held in the Genealogy Reference Area on the 3rd floor of the Z. J. Loussac Library, and are indicated with GEN-R in the call number. Some duplicate copies are found in the circulating non-fiction area and branch collections. Alaska-specific family history materials are housed in the Alaska Collection, on the 2nd floor of the library. A hold request may be placed on any circulating copy and will be held for you at the library of your choice. Volunteers from the Anchorage Genealogical Society are available for questions at the Z. J. Loussac Library every Wednesday from 11 am to 2 pm, and on second and fourth Wednesdays from 7 pm to 9 pm.
